Because again, Most Conventional Insurance Companies - Do Not Cover Transport. Your Insurance Company will say "Call the Trucks Insurance." The truck will say "Deductible $5k, Prove we are Liable."
This is #1 reason you do not quote cheapest price or Quote Based on Zip Codes. Cheapest Price, can nearly guarantee the worst coverage. If I insure Loads up $50k and then the other truck insurance is up to $1,000,000 - our pricing is not going to be the same. In addition, the truck 99.999% has a deductible in excess of $2500-$10k. Meaning your vehicle not covered for deductible amount. If your Broker doesn't have Contingent Cargo Insurance, you are not protected fully. That also tells you that when a Trucker says "Work with me Directly" though the Federal Government tells him it is illegal and tells the Public to avoid that, he is offering you absolute no Protection or Recourse. You have access to Nothing.
Trucking Companies who have a viable reputation have 2 Companies Separate.
They have a Brokerage and a Trucking Company. The Brokerage Provides Protection. The Trucking Company provides Transport.
How do you know when you're dealing with the Best?
When you go to a website, are you being marketed a sales experience or are you being shown the resources to execute at a high level? Can you see the SAME trucks that are executing repeatedly? Though I may not advertise my Trucking MC# - wary of insurance scams, do you see the same trucks different places in the country on the same website?
Quality Trucking Companies have 4 things.
1. Insurance, not only the trucks insurance but additional coverage and they take the time to do the steps to add coverage for transport.
2. Dispatching for trucks require more than asking a Driver to take a Transport or Posting Vehicles on the Load Board. It requires Experience, Knowledge, Communication, Support and Resources. Sales Companies have no Resource to Trucks. For example: Trucks need Parking. You should be able to see a companies service area for trucks. What Service do they Provide Trucks? No area to park trucks? That's a Marketing Company.
3. Hours of Service. Anything can happen anytime in Trucking because we are Outside. Sometimes a truck has to drive all night, repairs can happen at anytime. Trucking Companies cannot close. Digital Marketing companies have office hours, Not trucking companies. Communication lines must be open for the Broker, and Trucks 24 hours a day. IF I a Broker - I am aiding the Truck to get to Delivery if he has any issues, if I am good at my job. Issue is that most Brokers are just Marketing Companies and know nothing about the Road. Trucks are Machines and have issues. Quality Companies aid in making things happen Smoothly.
4. Quality Transportation - There is no way for a Telemarketer to know who the Best Trucking Companies are. Just posting a vehicle on a Load Board for a company with a good rating is not enough. Companies pop up everyday with good ratings but are scams. Let's say a area like Miami with millions of immigrants. Let's say thousands of them have a scam going on where they create a Trucking Company, use 1 insurance to cover 20 trucks illegally. Then they take turns running their trucks into the dirt, and then set the truck on fire to get a Insurance Scam to buy a house and their Citizenship. Once the insurance company gets burnt multiple times, they go to the next immigrant. They have the insurance office, they sell commercial drivers license for a few dollars and they work in the local claim office of insurance broker. They even have police officers to write up what's needed. When the Corporation tries to catch them run to another state with houses fully paid off barely speaking English. This is not only happening in Miami, Philadelphia, California, Texas, and New Jersey, amongst other places.
Do Americans pull these scams? Few, but not often because an American doesn’t have anywhere to run.

Even if a guy tells you he is a Driver, doesn't mean he doesn't post you on the load board and give your car to one of these companies. If a guy says he owns a Trucking Company and he gives your Vehicle to a company like this and you get caught in their scam as a technicality, you carry the burden 100%.
American Trucking Companies invested in America cannot take the risk as some immigrants. We don't have their options. We cannot be fly by night. It takes hundreds of thousands to have 1 truck running properly to provide. If a Company owns more than 2 trucks with land and insurance, then it is likely that they are committed to the business long term. They are on the Road and know who the scammers are like you know who are the bad people in your office building and job. Without owning Trucks, there is no way to know how to avoid the scam trucking companies.
The last reason you do not want to hire a digital marketing company to transport your vehicle is because if you do not own a truck, you do not know how to properly cover a Vehicle. Trucking Insurance Companies constantly move the line so they don't have to pay out on claims. They plain out ask the Driver, "Do you want us to cover this claim?" Well, the answer is - if I guarantee to pickup your vehicle on time why wouldn't I want a financial commitment from you? As a trucking company if I say I'm going to pickup your vehicle, I've committed my fuel and time. It cost me. Your deposit insures that when I build my load around your transport you won't leave me high and dry.
Why wouldn't a company want a deposit then?
Because they have no way to commit to transport. It is wishful thinking. They are posting your vehicle on the load board and hoping someone will accept it that will allow them to make a nice commission. If they do not execute then you have no way to leave a negative review or be angry because there is no commitment, recourse or financial burden from them. You may have booked a flight based on what they told you but they are wishful. It is obvious that they ran into a issue taking a deposit prior and did not execute. The history with their payment system won't allow for disputes. They have to only take payment when cars are picked up because too many payments were returned or disputed. No deposit up front when in regards to a Trucking Company should be a Red Flag as there is Definitely a Reason.
